How it works

You describe it. Brixa builds it, and puts it on the internet.

Brixa is for people who need a website for their business and do not want to become a web designer to get one. There is nothing to install and nothing to learn.

Describe your business in plain English

No design decisions, no templates to pick, no jargon. “A hair salon in Leeds, warm and modern, people should be able to book online.” Brixa asks a few short questions where it genuinely needs to — how many pages you want, what your form should collect — and each one has an answer you can click.

It builds the whole thing, in about two minutes

Real pages, real design, real photographs, written for your trade rather than filled with placeholder text. You watch it happen rather than waiting at a blank screen.

Change it by asking

“Make the header darker.” “Add a page about our prices.” “Use a photo of the workshop instead.” You never edit code unless you want to — and the code is right there if you do.

Publish it at a real address

One press. Your site goes live on a Brixa address straight away, or on your own domain name once you connect it. It has a sitemap and a robots file, so search engines can find it properly.

Enquiries come back to you

A contact form on a published Brixa site actually sends. The message arrives in your email, with Reply already pointing at the customer, and it is kept in Brixa too. Businesses that take appointments can have a real diary: only the times you are open, no two people in one slot, and a confirmation with a link to cancel.

What you keep, whatever happens

The code is yours

Download any project as a real, working project you could hand to any developer. That stays true whether or not you are paying.

It checks itself before publishing

Brixa reads your finished page and refuses to publish one that would mislead a visitor — a form that sends nowhere, or a booking form that is not connected to anything. A published page may not lie.

Published sites are sealed off

Every site Brixa builds runs walled off from Brixa itself, so nothing published on your address can reach anybody’s account.

What Brixa does not do yet

Brixa builds the part of a site people see and use: the pages, the design, the forms, the bookings. It does not yet run the accounts-and-database side that a shop checkout, a members’ area or a social app needs in order to store and protect other people’s data. If your idea depends on that, Brixa is not the right tool for it today.

Brixa is in beta and is built and run by one person. We would rather you knew both of those before you paid than after.
